Ok let’s stick to the issue at hand. It is commonly agreed that an IQ test does not effectively measure intelligence as (a) it only assesses particular skills related to cognitive ability (b) you can perform better with practice and (c) intelligence can’t be measured anyway. So there’s no need to say “women are just as intelligent” because I’m not claiming they aren’t. (The article is titled “men cleverer than women” but this seems to be the BBC interpreting the study ignorantly).

Further qualifications:

(i) just because more men might be brilliant doesn’t mean that women can’t be as brillliant.
(ii) saying that women haven’t had the opportunity to be brilliant would be right but wouldn’t clarify the disproportionate number of men achieving high scores on the IQ test.

So the question is why are the top scores on IQ tests much more likely to have been achieved by men? Does this reflect the notion that more geniuses are men?

Even if men wrote the tests (and that is evidence of bias) it still needs to be clarified why men did better at the questions they questioned. How did the testers know men would do better at these particular questions? Or have they completely fudged the results?
Mojo: On the first question, feminists ducked, dodged and weaved but didn’t answer. The second question is a joke as you’ll see if you open it, and this one is an attempt to cover all routes that feminists will go down to evade answering.

My question on brains wasn’t about intelligence.
Danagasta: you have the same problem. How are the questioners able to set questions that benefit European males? Your claim requires you to say either that the testers are fudging the results or using questions they know white males will do better at. If it’s the latter, then you have to clarify why European males perform better at these questions. If it’s the former you have to clarify why this trend is seen across other studies. Conspiracy? Ooooh!!

IQ= mental age/physical age…

Really, women have higher IQ’s on average, and they tend to stay around a certain range—around 110-120(100 being average).

Men, on the other hand, tend to be polarized… either they’re extremely high or a small lower than average.

This is mainstream Islam, in other words, most Muslims you question about this will not deny its truth. In my experience, the most common reaction from Muslim woman is that they try to make a joke out of it or use it as some type of affirmation of their significance.

Why would Allah want men to know that mostly woman are going to hell? I mean, forget the absolute absurdity of this, on its face, lets just consider why Allah would even reveal this at all? I mean, does he want men to feel greater license to do incorrect? Men do 99.99% of all murder right…

The nitty-gritty…and it’s vital I get ya’lls (yes, Texan) insight. It’s possibly right like.
A woman, a friend of a friend, I’ve know socially for about a year, unintentionally pulled my heart out my chest and toasted it all warm…a secret crush of mine turned suddenly very, very dreamy.

When I first meet her, we were in a social group I organize for single (divorced) men and women for 60′s babies. We wanted to be with other still semi-hip and in shape both body and mind. That first night out…wow…I’ve danced with many women over my lifetime (I’m 49), but almighty…as she and I danced for the first time to an Eighties classic played by a well loved live band…what fun!!!

She kept eye contact and smiled the entire 30 minutes…she lasted 30 minutes of hard rockin’-roll moving and could have gone on all night.

Small of it…my first impression…Pretty, sexy, (tight body), strong both physically and self-confidence and sweet…her smile is melting nice, and though not formally educated like me she’s smart. But we didn’t get to talk much…LOUD music.

The desire to invite her out for a “date” instead of group outing was strong…but my female “bossy-sister-like-alter-ego-best friend” who I’ve wisely recruited as co-organizer admonished me and told me I’d be “playing with the candy.” It disappointed me…especially now since she has begun seriously dating a man in the group I introduced her to…thought rightly they’d get along…

My fondness of her has been growing…though I and others in the group have realized she is a bit lacking in basic knowledge…most of the others even interpret her courageous and honest “I don’t know what that means” as low-intelligence…I got through life that way.

Last night at a 60′s groovy, make peace not war theme party…she nearly stole my heart (maybe has)…I’ve never felt that way…

Several folks, during a lull in a game we were playing, started separately, in small groups, discussing former marriages and divorces…all of us were the ones left behind…yeah, we know…part of the problem too.

She and I just “happened” (I made it happen) to be sitting on a sofa in a corner together. She suddenly started telling me about her son’s upcoming marriage and how she told him marriage is a commitment, an unbreakable bond by financial troubles, temptations of the flesh, boredom, serious illness, even mental stresses or illnesses.

She so easily bared her heart and soul. Obviously, her man had grown “bored” of this angel and “step out” on her, as we say in Texas. My marriage’s end broke my heart…but infidelity wasn’t a factor. That would have killed me…my soul at least. Then she looked unashamedly and directly into my eyes, as on the dance floor, and said, “It involved another woman.”

Wow, I then my feelings were valid about her intelligence being grossly understated, by nearly everyone she knows. She really isn’t slow…or naive…just innocent once and with that gone, she still sees the world not through rose-tinted glasses, but as a field of roses.

I manned-up to myself, and disregarded my best girl-friend’s advice (and the other gal-pals who weighed in on the subject). Knowing that life is just too darn small to stand on ceremony and to ignore the butterflies in my gut, I’ve choose to pursue her. She swing dances along with her girlfriend on Tuesday nights at a well-known but backwoods honky-tonk…tomorrow night I’m hitting a local (we live about 30 miles apart) swing bar and practicing my skills, and then, “since” they invited me, I am becoming acquainted with her dance hall. It’ll provide a more intimate, get to know her place…not a date…just a situation like a date. Her friend, who advised me to steer away (she’s educated, smart, plus loving and protective of her friend…and is worried that although my feelings are genuine…I too might become “bored” and stray).

Apologies for my TMI.

I married two really attractive, educated women…who left me. I wish their self-esteem had been stronger and that I had been more astute and noticed that they took my academic and private studies as threatening.

If she dates me I know more myself…

But,

Are our friends right…would my infatuation…6 months now…end after awhile?

I questioned 2 girl co-workers because I have somewhat mixed feelings on opening a door. For example: Some girls find it annoying and I don’t mind going first instead of holding up elevator traffic. On the other hand, I reckon its the right thing to do inspite them.

I attempted to know my co-workers friends on the issue who said they would prefer not to have the door opened for them. I questioned why and got told “you wouldn’t know stand, you need to be a woman”. So after insulting my intelligence.. I chose to come here and question other women who might tell what they prefer and clarify why they prefer it.

The reason i’m asking is i’m curious if I should continue to open doors for women or take first if it doesn’t seem to bother them or even go as far as annoying them.

The sad truth is that you might just be too intelligent.

Sure, women say all the time that they are looking for an intelligent guy and intelligence usually ranks up there in the top five traits that most women consider vital when looking for a guy to date or marry. The truth is that along with intelligence comes many complications and problems even if a woman is honestly intelligent that many women can’t handle.

So what are you to do? As an intelligent guy what can you do to improve your success rate when it comes to picking up women and having a successful relationship? Probably the key factor to keep in mind is that even though women say they are looking for an intelligent guy they are not looking for a guy that is going to make them reckon too much or feel stupid. Nobody likes to feel stupid and nobody likes to be shown that they are incorrect or that their logic is faulty.

When picking up women you should concentrate more on how you make a woman feel as opposed to making her reckon. Yes, she says that she is looking for intelligence but if your intelligence makes her feel stupid then you are going to fail at picking her up. Try making her feel gorgeous or sexy. Or use your intelligence to make her feels smart herself!

You might reckon that your intelligence is a handicap as you sit here reading this article. You might have the bright thought that you should act as stupid and moronic as those guys that you see who do have fantastic success with picking up women. But why not use your superior intelligence to dissect what those guys do to be so successful in picking up women and add it to your repertoire?

Picking up women is a skill just like any other skill that you might desire to become proficient in. Social skills such as flirting, texting, writing killer like letters and witty banter over the phone or in person are skills that you can learn and perfect better than those morons. With a small research and some practice you can clean up when it comes to picking up women or seducing the woman of your dreams. Can there be any doubt in your mind?

Keep in mind though that women may say that they are looking for a guy that is intelligent but deep down inside they are looking for a guy that can make them feel a certain way. Can you learn how to make her feel gorgeous and sexy and like she is the only woman in the world for you without making her feel stupid? Sure you can! Use your superior intelligence to work for you when picking up women and before you know it you can have that hottie on your arm and in your life and leave all those morons in the dust.

I know that many people believe that attractive women have more of an advantage in life than smart women, and they reckon it should be the other way around. Rationally speaking, it is absurd to judge someone based solely on appearance.

I reckon it is right that our society is predicated on beauty with power, I guess you could say. From what I’ve observed, we tend to reckon that the individuals who are considered attractive don’t know how excellent they have it, or that their being born pretty and they’re just lucky.

If people want the “smart girl” to beat “the pretty girl”, don’t they realize that the smart one is also born smart. They did nothing to earn how smart they are, people are born with certain learning capabilities, out of sheer luck. Just like some are born more attractive.

My question is, why don’t people realize this? I don’t really know it, intelligence is just a quality, like beauty, that some are born with or without. So why do some treat intelligence like it is the “underdog”.

You’re right, in the end smart girl’s are favored more.
A girl has to obtain a certain amount of intelligence to survive.

But in the 20s-60s.
Girls who were gorgeous were usually approached by film scouts or producers and usually signed to a contract with a major film studio straight away. Just for being pretty!
A lot of well-known classic hollywood actresses found their way in films this way.
But in those times, women weren’t expected to be smart.

Yes I do know that to some extent you must study to be “smart”, but the rate and depth of understanding something is already above normal if you are intelligent enough to be considered “the smart girl.”

But women who are pretty must also, to some extent, work for it. Make-up, clothing, hair (I’m not talking about plastic surgery or any other major alteration of the underlying structure) . It may not be as practical as studying, but the have to work on it none the less.
My question is, why don’t people realize this? I don’t really know it, intelligence is just a quality, like beauty, that some are born with or without. So why do some treat intelligence like it is the “underdog”.

This is erroneously translated. We Arabic Speaker know very well what is meant by this Hadith. In no way or terms this was meant to degrade women. What this hadith is talking about is a well known scientific fact that has recently been talked about. This Hadith is talking about how Men reckon and how women reckon. Women (some) use a very emotional way of thinking, Men (some) tend to be more of a Logical thinkers, less emotional and more practical.

As far as who he heard it from That your welcome to discus with God on the Day of Judgment. Who knows you may win your salvation! I doubt it though!
