Isn’t the Al Quaida due to be VERY VERY important lately?
Question by Right L: Isn’t the Al Quaida due to be VERY VERY vital lately?
In fact, as the presidentsil election gets closer and closer, you will notice Al Quida in the imminent news. “AL Qaida ready to strike the US again”, “Osama gathering followers to attack”, “Osama releases 152 nd video threatening the US will never have peace”, “US must not stop it’s war against Al Qaida”.
This will be in the news WHILE McCain says things like “If it were not for this winning war against Iraq Al Qaida would be in your supermarket!”, “We need someone in the White House who understands how to keep Alqaida out of your supermarkets and blowing them up”, “We need someone whose had experience fighting people JUST LIKE AL QAIDA and you KNOW who that is”.
At the near end of the campaign McCain will say “I don’t want to bring up the thought that Obama may be a BLACK MUSLIM…or that Clinton is a WOMAN married to Bill Clinton. I will not stoop to such politics”.
Welcome to America….the land of the free to be corrupt.

How can I approach a woman when I don’t really care of doing it?
Question by cdux: How can I approach a woman when I don’t really care of doing it?
I feel like I do want to have a relationship but I do want to avoid to have to deal with tedious “politics” of relations and “social status quo cliches”. I do have experience on them and I’m bored of them. The reason is dread but trying to avoid the tedious process of going into ritualistic traditions to “lure a female into a man’s arms”. I want it to be natural, I want it to be fun, I want it to be simple. Not simple in the terrible sense of the word, or simple in the sense that She doesn’t like it, not at all. Simple for both and pleased. Is it just related to the person? Do I have to wait till I see such a person? But I don’t see such a person! It’s nowhere to be found. Zero.

I chose a BA containing a wrong assumption of Aristotle’s ideas. What should I do now?
Question by Kore Herakliteia: I chose a BA containing a incorrect assumption of Aristotle’s thoughts. What should I do now?
Doctor Y mentioned in his answer to my question “Do you like Aristotle” that Aristotle “supported slavery and justified that women are inherently inferior to men”. That is not acceptable as it was Plato who expressed such views in his “Politics” and “Timaeus”. Aristotle DID NOT express such views in any of his works. Nevertheless, I forgot that vital detail and gave Doctor Y the BA.
Apparently, I acted quite stupid and got deceived so easily. But the BA has been given and only in case my question “Do you like Aristotle” gets deleted could the situation be reversed. But, what can I do to reverse my mistake, though only partially?
… Anyway, next time I must be more careful and sober when judging answers.

miss california and gay marriage- Atheists she deserves respect, christians shes an example to you.?
Question by Bluto Blutarsky72: miss california and gay marriage- Atheists she deserves respect, christians shes an example to you.?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090422/ap_en_ot/people_miss_california_perez_hilton;_ylt=AskhNvHjSIj080jBeLItuThxFb8C
you know, despite the controversy of gay marriage, i reckon here it was a witch hunt, and while it is honestly obvious that the contest was rigged,
(there is NO way that a woman from california is beating out a woman from new york),
people are crapping on her for having the backbone to state her beliefs in the face of a gay judge costing her the contest in the face of an obvious bias.
quite frankly- she was questioned what she believes, not what the law is or should be-
she even acknowledged about choice, part of choice is being able to disagree even if it is unpopular.
time and again i’ve said its incorrect to not allow gay marriage, but its also incorrect to disallow someone’s beliefs even if those beliefs are foolish-
isn’t this is an example of what a christian should be, separating her beliefs, from what is right? separating them from politics- they questioned her the question and then tell her to keep her “politics” out of the contest?
if they didnt’ want her opinion, they shouldnt’ have questioned her.
she might be a delusional religious whackjob, but so long as she is not pushing legislation (which she is not), doesn’t she have the right to her opinion?
she also takes carefull note (CHRISTIANS PAY ATTENTION HERE- THIS IS WHY I GIVE HER RESPECT AND NOT Y/A CHRISTIANS),
that she QUALIFIES her statements as “for me” and “my BELIEFS”.
and how screwed up is a “beauty” contest that focuses on more than her breasts and butt.
no one cares what these women have to say and no one wants to see how they can play violin. beauty contests are about how excellent they look. maybe when america and the world regained sight of that then these things would really have some legitimacy again.
how right you are “jesus is appaling” if the contest calls for “beauty” then that is what should be judged, we don’t judge music contests based upon how well the performers can play basketball.
if she wants to join a talent contest- nothing is stopping her. (slapping you back with your sarcasm to show its foolishness)

no i owuld not but your analagy fails for the simple fact that blacks were denied all manner of rights and were not treated equally under the laws in more respects than one. also we are not talking about limiting basic rights- no one HAS to get married (gay or straight), it is a fundamental right, but as far as ranking goes- education is higher.
an appropriate analogy quesiton would be: “do you approve of interracial marriage?”.
many people are missign the difference here between “opinion of whether or not a person SHOULD have the right to do something” and “do YOU approve of that something”.
its really the same as the pro choice argument, just becasue a woman has a irght to have an abortion, doesn’t mean that an individual woman who supported the right pro-choice, approves of women really having an abortion.

Look at this quote as justification for why more women don’t enter politics
from Blue Eyed Christian:
“It isn’t motherhood; men with kids are in politics.”
Men don’t have 1/10th of the responsibilities when it comes to parenthood that women do, Since the average father is just a glorified sperm donor, why would someone pretend that a father’s responsibilities would come close to cutting into their worklife as much as a mother’s. Is this just denial or are these women really this out of touch with reality?
Bonus Question: Since men have fewer responsibilities, doesn’t it make sense that they should be regarded as less than when it comes to issues of parenting (i.e. choice making, custody)?
@Jonus: So, let me see if I know this correctly. You and the other men on here reckon that if a woman doesn’t take equal responsibility she shouldn’t have equal rights. But if a man doesn’t take equal responsibility, he still deserves equal rights. How is that honest?
“I can believe that mother is the best fitting parent in 60-65% of the cases but certainly not in 90%”
Oh really? Well,I know men who don’t even know what day their children was born, let alone have the ability to take responsibility. Excuse me if I reckon 60% is a conservative estimate.
“Anyway, your tone seems somewhat softer, you lost the bitterness you had – what gives?”
Well, I guess it’s just exhausting being mad all the time. I can only keep it up for stretches at a time.
@BEC: I don’t even know how you can argue that women do far more work raising children. To pretend that men are judged for abandoning family responsibilities anywhere near the extent that women are, is just denying the obvious.
Best answer:
Answer by Lynn
It’s right that most mothers do more than 80% housechores and child raising, but some luckier women, who have brilliant husbands, may not be aware of this fact. It’s not necessary to debase them for expressing their honest opinions, that’s what democracy is all about. It’s vital to learn how to respect others, even when one was issued from a dysfunctional violent family, it’s never too late.

What will be the outcome of this lawsuit against Sheriff Joe Arpaio?
Question by Taylor: What will be the outcome of this lawsuit against Sheriff Joe Arpaio?
PHOENIX (CN) – Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been sued again, by people who say they were arrested for applauding critics of Arpaio at a county Board of Supervisors meeting, or for “trespassing” in a public building where they had gone to make an appointment with a county supervisor.
Two women say sheriff’s officers arrested them for “disorderly conduct” after they applauded criticism of Arpaio’s immigration policies at a Board of Supervisors meeting.
Some of the protesters say they were arrested three days before the meeting, for “trespassing,” as they waited to make an appointment with a supervisor in a public waiting area of the board’s offices.
According to two lawsuits – one in Maricopa County Court, and one in Federal Court – Monica Sandschafer, Guillermina Bethancourt de Pichardo, Ayensa Millan and Kristy Theilen were peacefully waiting to schedule an appointment with a supervisor on Dec. 15, 2008 when Sheriff’s Deputy George Acritelli ordered them to leave, then arrested them for trespassing.
Thielen sued the county and Arpaio in Federal Court; the other four sued in Maricopa County Court.
Four women say they were arrested to prevent them from requesting time to speak at a board meeting.
The plaintiffs, members of Maricopa Citizens for Safety and Accountability and ACORN, say Arpaio’s office knew them “to be associated with organized groups who were protesting or had protested, the activities and politics” of Sheriff Arpaio. They claim their arrests and unsuccessful prosecution were “made with the purpose of silencing, intimidating or otherwise dissuading peaceful political activities and protest.”
Sandschafer and co-plaintiff Joel Nelson say they were arrested for “disorderly conduct” during the Dec. 17, 2008 Board of Supervisors meeting. They applauded in “response to a statement that was critical of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.”
They say the arrests were made at the request of then-Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Andrew Kunasek, a defendant in the county case.
At a previous Board of Supervisors meeting, a speaker’s praise of Arpaio’s enforcement of immigration laws was met with “long periods of standing, applauding, and cat-calling in support,” though no one was arrested for that, the plaintiffs say.
Charges against the five protesters were dismissed after they were prosecuted and acquitted at trial, the complaints claim. They say the trial court found that their arrests violated the First Amendment.
The plaintiffs seek punitive hurts for constitutional violations, malicious prosecution and unlawful arrests.
Sandschafer, Bethancourt, Millan and Nelson are represented in Maricopa County Court by Slan Larkin. Theilen is represented in Federal Court by Joel Robbins of Robbins and Curtin. http://www.courthousenews.com/2009/12/16/Sheriff_Arpaio_Accused_of_More_Abuses.htm

Why do some people believe one sex is smarter than the other?
Question by Freethinker: Why do some people believe one sex is smarter than the other?
Someone wrote:
“Women are scientifically proven to be more intelligent than men. Anyhow it does not take an idiot to know that….
I know that if females run this world, it would run more smoothly, logically, and they won’t be making anymore ignorant choices like most of the men had done in the politics.”
What do you reckon these lines (regardless of sex, it could be the same about women) say about the author?
@Kaelin: Please provide the source for your “Women are scientifically proven to be more intelligent than men” claim.
As far as I know, there is not a single study “proving” this. Serious research demonstrated differences regarding types of intelligence (not a single “this one is more intelligent” implication) and you’re just making things up.
@KAelin: You clearly have no thought about what you’re talking about. Men don’t use the right side of the brain while women use both; there’s a thing called the dominant hemisphere for both men and women and it can be the right or the left one. The “male brain” (not men, since some men have a female brain) is more biased towards the dominant hemisphere (that’s why it is more “logical”) but it doesn’t mean the person having one will be less intelligent than others.
Those articles and your claim are unrelated. It is well known men use the dominant hemisphere more while children use it the less (i.e. when certain areas are hurt, some functions cannot be passed to the contralateral one unless the person is under a certain age), but it doesn’t add any validity to your saying.

Is “playing by the rules” the best way to ensure that your genes DON’T get passed on?
Question by Evan C: Is “playing by the rules” the best way to ensure that your genes DON’T get passed on?
Is “playing by the rules” the best way to ensure that your genes DON’T get passed on?
Brandon and I were having a political-philosophical discussion today. One of the things we discussed is how working stiffs are being outbred by ghetto trash, white trash, and illegals. If you play by the rules, work hard, and live a middle-class lifestyle, you MIGHT be able to have one or two kids and barely stay afloat trying to afford them. Meanwhile, those lowest on the economic scale are reproducing like rabbits, and the working class gets to pick up the tab. Brandon argued: “It would be much simpler to live like the (blacks) who do nothing all day, have lots of sex and children, and then have everything paid for by the government.” I agreed. The existing structure incentivizes young men like myself and Brandon to spread our genes and let the taxpayers take care of any ill-foreseen consequences. I have had sex with hundreds of women over the years and may have a few children of my own running around (that I’ll never have to take care of). Brandon, who is a few years younger than I, has chose that it would be wiser to be more like me and less like the working stiffs in this country who are getting screwed. What is your objective take?
Best answer:
Answer by rfs333
yea ur right. just like the movie idiocracy. most intelligent people don’t want kids and are too busy making the world a better place to make time for kids. So the crap at the bottom of the social economic system keep reproducing and polluting the earth with these disgusting creatures.

The evangelicals were honorable people, Christians such as Maurice, Kingsley, Anglicans and Methodists.
Their concern was to protect the poor and oppressed and underprivileged. They helped end child labor and slavery. Worked for the extension of voting rights beyond the aristocracy and landowners to empower the workers.
But in America today, fundamentalists are stealing the name “evangelical” instead of admitting that they are fundamentalists. They come down on the side of Huge Brother huge government, snooping into your private life. They want to dictate to you what your private sex life should be, and tell you that your marriage must be only the government-approved model. They are trying to tell women what they may do about their own bodies. They want to give the school boards the power to force government-approved prayer on children – and of course, it’s only their religion which they want taught.
America’s so-called evangelicals are fakes. Just “huge-government” fundies.
