Question by Tyler: Proposal of possible genetic, societal, and mental reform…could this work and what would be the outcome?
Ok, I questioned earlier a very similar question, but I didn’t receive many critically answered answers. So, I’m hoping in review of this question, that there would be others out there that would be willing to provide insight and thoughts on my previous question regarding a more peaceable world by means of a “universal race”…But, I digress as I often do.

Ok, right now there are many hot, controversial topics in the U.S. and globally as well; there’s discussion of “same sex marriage”, war, discrimination and prejudices, environmental awareness, economical hardships, and the list goes on.
After reading a couple chapters in my Sociology book, I was thinking of ways in which we could tweak the world and the various societies in it to attempt to make a more peaceable, culturally leveled world population.
Ok, so say that we agree that homosexuals are allowed to marry and carry forward monogamous relationships; this calls for the likelihood of a more quarantined isolation of the spread of HIV, AIDS, and various other STDs, but in the down fall, if this happens to be a trend that grows (homosexuality) then the population is likely to to be drastically cut in a matter of decades. And, homosexuality dead-ends the carry on of traits, viewed as destructive when immediately observed on a micro level, or when seen as a “natural” population control on the macro level–either stand is feasible.
As far as making a race in which terms we could “cancel out” the conflict of many prejudices, racism, and possibly even war…considering the role our pre-judgments have on our choice making…by selecting elite persons (male and female) whom have prevailing health and traits (and preferably of a bi-racial pairing) that would be desired and chosen democratically among a mass majority of people; with these men and women, we could make “jobs” of reproducing…bering a child that is designed both racially and physically standing in excellent health.

I’m not sure as to how well genetic bonding goes when it comes to crossing racial bariers, but in the sense in my proposal, I’m hoping that the outcome would eventually be that there would be a “hybrid” race in the future with whom’s health (relying on history of parents) and genetic make up would be dominant over various other races.
Understanding that it’s not mere biology that introduces the thought of “difference” between two races, etc…but that conditioning also affects greatly the things we believe and do…I feel as though this could be a possible solution…to something….

Idk….I guess I haven’t though about this as much as I believed I did…haha….but any insight and thoughts on this would be appreciated….I’d like to hear if this is even plausible, beyond the perspective of ethics morale, taboos….

Reminds me of a book I read in school called The Giver. To be honest, I reckon the likelihood of something like this being implemented even if it was proven to be for the best is around 0. I also don’t really reckon it would work as well in practice as it sounds, finding a mate, reproducing, and rearing a child are huge parts of most peoples lives and the consequences of removing this from nearly everyone’s life would probably be severe.

As far as race, in another 1-3 centuries there will likely only be a couple of distinguishable races left anyway. The differences between races are so tiny genetically that the amount of inter-mixing going on now will be sufficient to take care of that.
