What are your thoughts on “government”workers at the VA, deliberately delaying payment of claims so they could?
Question by Green Eyed Gila ver2.0: What are your thoughts on “government”workers at the VA, deliberately delaying payment of claims so they could?
“Clerks at the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Pittsburgh deliberately delayed 10 veterans’ benefit claims so that about 120 VA employees could get a $ 300 performance bonus in 2008, an inspector general’s report says.”
“In five cases, the delay meant veterans of the war on terror received payments a month later than they should have. The payments ranged from $ 226 to $ 1,375 and came to a total of $ 4,028.”
“Delayed payments can cause veterans and their families financial hardship by depriving them of entitled compensation and a source of income,” the report says. Veterans earn benefits for disabilities, health care, lost wages and more”
With government workers being the largest growing sector under this administration – shall we expect to see acts like these continue or will something be done to kick out selfish workers who would place their own needs above those of men and women who honorably served our country?

These workers should be fired. But I’ve never been a fan of government employees anyway.
